For today’s blog post, I will be reviewing one of my
favorite books.  I read this book a quite a few years ago (maybe 2011 or
2012).  It has been my go to book when I
am in the mood to have my imagination run wild.
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
It is hard to say how I came across The Night Circus.
The book cover could have caught my attention, or maybe it was the synopsis
of the book.  Either way, I knew that I would enjoy reading this book over
and over again.  Also, the audio book is
an enjoyment to listen to.  It is read by Jim Dale, who had also done the
Harry Potter audio books.
The Night Circus is about Celia Bowen and Marco
Alistair, who are illusionists placed in the arena of Le Cirque des Rêves (The
Circus of Dreams).  It really about a tale who is born as an illusionist
vs one that is taught.  Celia’s father,
Prospero the Enchanter, and Mr. A.H, Marco’s instructor, place them against
each other to fight for who is the most powerful.  The competition is
battle to see who can longer compete, but the unsuspected twist is that Celia
and Marco begin to grow closer together.
I do not want to reveal too much to this amazing story.
There are a lot of secrets inside the circus, and the imaginary elements
that Erin Morgenstern produces is so amazing.  I would definitely
recommend this book to anyone who wants to experience a scenic journey into
their own imagination.
